Located only three hours drive from Oslo they are set in a spectacular mountain area at the edge of Fulufjäll National Park right at the Norwegian- Swedish border. Due to the short distance from Norway's capital a holiday in Ljørdalen safes time and money. Comparing to other destinations in northern Scandinavia Oslo is conveniently and inexpensively accessible from Central Europe. To continue your journey to Ljørdalen you can use the comfortable coach service of NOR-WAY Bussekspress. It connects Oslo City Centre and Oslo Gardermoen Airport frequently and conveniently with Trysil where you will be met by a driver of the Villmark Lodge.

The southern location of Ljørdalen offers even more advantages: Not everywhere in the North the sun rises in December/January. In Ljørdalen however even the shortest day of the year (December 21) is still quite long and offers more than 5 ½ hours of daylight. Plenty of time to carry out your dog sledding tours in daylight.
