We would like to offer you a fully complete holiday experience from the very beginning. We are cooperating with some of the most important established airlines and ferry companies in order to also offer you a booking service for your journey to and from Norway. Please ask us for the most convenient and inexpensive way to travel from your closest airport or ferry port.
Getting there by plane
SAS and most national carriers have daily connections between the International Airport Oslo-Gardermoen and all major European airports. The International Airport Oslo-Gardermoen is situated about 60 km north of Oslo – and only approx. 160 km southwest of Ljørdalen. From the Airport Oslo-Gardermoen you have a direct and convenient connection by the expess coach service "Trysilekspressen" of Veolia Transport. At the coach‘s final stop in Trysil you will be met by our driver and transferred to Ljørdalen (see also the information about ‘Getting there by coach' below).*
Ryanair: Low Cost Airline Ryanair operates frequent services from Germany (Frankfurt-Hahn, Bremen and Dusseldorf-Weeze), from the U.K.(London-Stansted, Birmingham, Liverpool and Glasgow Prestwick), from Ireland (Dublin), from
Spain (e.g. Barcelona), from France (Marseille-Provence) and from Italy (e.g. Milan, Pisa, Bologna) to Oslo-Torp. More
informationen is available atwww.ryanair.com. Please note that the airport Oslo-Torp is located close to the city of Sandefjord, approx. 110 km south of Oslo. There is a direct bus connection (Torpekspressen) from Torp airport to Oslo available to each Ryanair flight. Travelling from Oslo-Torp to Oslo City Bus Terminal by coach takes approx. 2 hours. At Oslo City Bus Terminal you have to change bus to the "Trysilekspressen" express coach operated by Veolia Transport (see also chapter ‘Getting there by coach' below) which will get you then to Trysil where you will be met by our driver. Please carefully check the timetables of Ryanair and the corresponding bus connections before making your confirmed booking. For some connections an additional night in Oslo might be necessary. Getting there by ferry
Color Line: Another easy and comfortable way of travelling to Oslo, especially for guests travelling by car, is by ferry. It is a fantastic experience to enjoy the scenic cruise through the Oslo fjord. Color Line connects daily Oslo with Kiel in Germany and Hirtshals in Denmark with its modern cruise ferries. The journey from Kiel to Oslo takes about 19,5 hours, from Hirtshals to Oslo about 8 hours.
Since December 2004 Color Line already operates their new flagship "Color Fantasy" on the route Kiel -Oslo. The "Color Fantasy" can accommodate 2.750 passengers, offers lots of amenities on board and has been known to be the most expensive and most luxurious ferry cruise liner of the world. Since September 2007 its new built sister ship "Color Magic" -being just as comfortable as Color Fantasy- operates on this route providing some cruise ship atmosphere on the trip from Germany to Norway, too. DFDS Seaways: DFDS Seaways is an inexpensive alternative to the services of Color Line. The Danish ferry company connects daily Denmark's capital Copenhagen and the Norwegian capital Oslo with their modern and fully renovated and refurbished ferry cruise liners. On route the ferry stops in Helsingborg (Sweden). The journey between Copenhagen and Oslo takes about 16 hours. Departure Copenhagen: 17.00 hrs - Arrival Oslo: 9.30 hrs. Departure

There are inexpensive travel-through-fares available in cooperation with the Scandlines ferry route Puttgarden (Germany) - Rødby (Denmark). *
Getting to Ljørdalen
Situated right in the heart of unspoiled wilderness and still easily, conveniently and inexpensively accessible!
Lying right at the Swedish boarder and in the heart of a spectacular mountain area the tiny village of Ljørdalen is situated only a few kilometres from Norway’s most famous and biggest skiing area Trysil. Ljørdalen is also the ideal gateway to discover the beautiful and unspoiled nature of Fulufjäll National Park, Norway’s most southern wilderness.
Located only 220 km from Oslo Ljørdalen is easily and conveniently accessible by car and public transport. Thus a holiday in Ljørdalen safes time and money (especially for travellers from Denmark and Central Europe) – compared to other destinations in Northern Sweden or Finland offering a similar attractive variety of activities.
Getting there by car:
From Oslo take E 6 direction Hamar/Trondheim. Travel about 110 km, then take RV 3 towards Elverum turn-off on right. Continue about 20 km on RV 3 which then turns into RV 25. Continue on RV 25 towards Elverum. Pass the city of Elverum and continue towards Trysil. After approx. 63 km turn off right to Nybergsund and continue to Østby. In Østby turn left to Ljørdalen (ca. 19 km). After arrival in Ljørdalen follow the signs Villmark Lodge „Ljøratunet“. Duration of travel: approx. 3 hours.
Getting there by coach from Oslo City Centre / from airport Oslo-Gardermoen:
There are frequent daily connections by “Trysilekspressen“ between Oslo City Bus Terminal (Bussterminal Galleriet) and Trysil. The coach also stops at the International Airport Oslo-Gardermoen. The coaches used by Veolia Transport are comfortable with ample legroom, reclining seats and air-conditioning.
Duration of travel: From Oslo City Bus Terminal: approx. 3 h 30 min, from airport Gardermoen: approx. 2 h 45 min.

Connecting Transfer from/to Trysil: The connecting transfer from Trysil to Ljørdalen is already included in the package and accommodation rates. We will meet you at the bus station in
Trysil („Trysil Busstasjon“ which is situated next to the Trysil church) on saturdays at 4.40 p.m. or 7.40 p.m. and transfer you to the
village of Ljørdalen by private car or minibus. If our driver should not be waiting there already you can spend the time until our driver arrives in the
heated waiting room of the bus station. Later transfers or transfers on other days of the week are possible upon request. Please note however that your flight should arrive at Oslo-Gardermoen latest 1.5 hours before the departure of the last bus to Trysil (see time table above). The return transfer from Ljørdalen to Trysil is arranged
on saturdays for 7.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. Other times upon request subject to availability. Attention:Please note that your return flights should not depart Oslo-Gardermoen Airport earlier than 12.30 a.m. or Oslo-Torp
Airport before 3.00 p.m.
Getting there by coach from Oslo - Torp Airport (Ryanair) Ryanair's destination in Oslo is the Oslo - Torp Airport. It is located closely to the city of Sandefjord, approx. 110 km south of Oslo. There is a direct bus connection from/to Oslo-Torp Airport to/from the central bus station (Bussterminal Galleriet) at Oslo city centre for each Ryanair flight with the so called Torpekspressen (www.torpekspressen.no). The duration of travel is approx. 2 hours one-way. Fare: approx. 300 NOK (return). At the central bus station at Oslo city centre you need to change to the Trysilekspressen (see details above) to continue your travel to Trysil where we will pick you up.
