Location: Set amongst lush pine forest at the banks of river Ljøra and surrounded by gently rounded mountains Villmark Lodge offers a wild romantic atmosphere. Situated just a few kilometres from Fulufjäll National Park, the Lodge is a perfect and comfortable base camp to explore the unspoilt wilderness of the National Park famous for its hundreds of years old primeval forest, its crystal clear lakes and its unique flora and wildlife such as a large population of brown bear, lynx and moose.
From the Lodge it is just a short walk to the centre of the tiny village of Ljørdalen (300 inhabitants) where you can find two small supermarkets, a gas station and the tourist information.
Skiing Areas: In wintertime Villmark Lodge is an ideal and cosy accommodation for a great skiing holiday. It is situated only about 3 km from Fulufjellet Alpinsenter, a small skiing area, offering a good selection of slopes and Norway's longest toboggan run. A free ski bus operates between Lodge and Alpinsenter once in the morning and once in the afternoon upon request. Prepared cross country ski trails start just behind the Lodge. Villmark Lodge is also close to three other great skiing areas: Just across the border to Sweden there are the two skiing areas of Stöten with 35 runs (approx. 19 km away) and Sälen with 114 runs (approx: 31 km away) which are amongst the largest and most popular skiing areas in Sweden. And Norway's largest skiing area Trysil (65 runs) is situated just about 37 km from Villmark Lodge and very easy accessible.
Optional Activities: Close to the Lodge there are lots of hiking and cross country ski trails available on which you can explore the stunning scenery and unspoilt wilderness of the nearby mountains and the National Park. The Ljøra river passing the Lodge provides excellent fishing facilities. Additionally there are plenty of guided activities available:
In summertime: Canoeing and rafting trips on the Ljøra river, moose and beaver safaris, bear watching safaris, guided hiking and trekking tours are available at the Lodge. Guided horseback riding, white water rafting, canyoning trips are also arranged directly from the Lodge. Quad bike rental at the lodge. Golf court, swimming lakes and a good variety of small museums can be found in the vicinity.
In wintertime: Besides cross country and alpine skiing there are guided dog sledding tours, guided snowmobile safaris, guided tours on snowshoes and torch lit evening tours with the horse sled available. Quad bike rental at the lodge.
Lodge Features: Villmark Lodge is a cosy resort accommodation built in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings and out of the local building materials timber and glass. The Lodge consists of 10 free-standing cottages (double houses) with 2 private apartments each and a central building with reception, billiard table and a cosy restaurant with fireplace. Furthermore the resort features a centrally located complimentary sauna. In the central building a conference and banquet room is available for groups and business travellers. Conference facilities are also available at the Fulufjellet Alpinsenter.
Room Features: The spacious apartments (double house half) of approx. 63 m² are suitable for up to 4 (+2) guests. They are furnished in typical Norwegian style and offer a private entrance, 2 bedrooms (1 double / 1 bunk bed), a en-suite bathroom (shower, WC), a cosy living area, TV, a fully equipped kitchenette and an open gallery (hems). Each apartment can additionally accommodate two more people in extra simple bunk beds in the hems (open gallery). Bed linen, towels and cleaning fee are included. Apartments are serviced once per week. Pets are welcome.
Meals: You have the choice and flexibility to book Villmark Lodge with different meal options. You can choose to book accommodation without any meals, including breakfast (buffet) only or with halfboard including breakfast (buffet) and dinner (menu). Supplement for accommodation including breakfast: NOK 90,- per person and night. Supplement for accommodation including halfboard: NOK 235,- per person/night.

Within the village of Ljørdalen there are signs that will show you the way to the Villmark Lodge „Ljøratunet“ (please see
chapter „Location & Getting there”). The reception and the restaurant at Villmark Lodge are generally open from
8.00 – 11 a.m. and 6 – 10 p.m. Should the reception and restaurant be closed upon your arrival, you will find your keys along
with a description how to get to your cottage in an accessible post box on the right side of the main building (next to the staff

welcome you at the Villmark Lodge then just a few minutes later.
