A great way to learn skiing: Karl Einar Henriksen, Norwegian double gold medal winner of the Paralympic Games in Nagano and world champion in Nordic Style, will be your well experienced instructor. No matter whether you are interested in alpine or cross country skiing, by using our especially designed cross country sleds and alpine mono-skis you will feel likewise at home on alpine runs and cross country trails. Welcome to one of the homelands of skiing!
1) Week of skiing including an instruction course in alpine style using a handicap mono-ski:
Day 1, Saturday. Make your own way to Ljørdalen or to Trysil where we will pick you up.
Day 2 – 4, Sunday - Tuesday. Skiing instruction course in alpine style using an especially designed handicap mono-ski. Instructed by gold medal winner Karl Einar Henriksen you will learn on the easy and little frequented slopes of Fulufjellet Alpinsenter how to handle the purpose built mono ski which looks a bit similar to a bobsled. Soon you will have familiarized yourself with the mono-ski and you will have great fun in skiing down the moderate runs at Fulufjellet.
Day 5, Wednesday. A free day to relax. Alternatively you can participate in a skiing instruction course in Nordic style also held by Karl Einar Henriksen. After a short introduction into handling of our especially built cross country sled you will join him for a short tour on some prepared trails (not included). Or you can take part in a dog sledding daytour using our especially designed handicap sled (not included).
Day 6 and 7, Thursday and Friday. After learning and improving your handling of the mono-ski during the first couple of days you most likely fancy to experience also some other slopes. You can join Karl Einar on some daytrips to the nearby Trysil skiing area. It is Norway's largest skiing area offering 64 runs of every length and grade. Enjoy a great skiing experience !
Day 8, Saturday. You depart either with your own car or will be transferred by our guide to Trysil where you will join the coach back to Oslo.
